They always keep us guessing, don't they? I know I've heard of females holding on to them for 20 or more days. I don't think she blames you as
she's the one that gave it up!
Good luck and please let us
know when she lays them for you.

Do you have a suitable place for her to lay? Have you seen her go into the nestbox? If you have a nestbox and she hasn't been into it yet, now might be the time to place her in there. Otherwise you might end up with scattered eggs in the cage, or even worse, the waterbowl.

To be on the safe side did you remove her perches? I'd also remove the water bowl...just in case! At least she'll be forced to be on the ground and
not drop her eggs from high up. She looks ready!

Collin, it could take up to day 21, it's more reliable to start counting from ovulation, did you catch that or not,
40 days after ovulation is normal for egg laying, they can fool us with a couple of days more or less Jurgen, p.s. I'm expecting eggs on the 15th, fingers crossed.

she finally laying eggs at day 20 and a half so to say.
i locked her in a clear tob with the eggbox covering her so no chanche of dropping htem any where or way they should'nt. @jurgen (hoe is het! nog de beste wensen.heb je ook een hyves account?) What pair are you expecting eggs from? i have to visit some time. i didnt see the ovulation, i place a nest box in the cage as soon as i see she's getting very restless so she can go through it more comfi if she wants. being the @%++# she is i leave here allone during breeding, she's very easely pist-off gr collin

Congrats on the eggs (jij ook nog de beste wensen, geen hyves) I'm glad I wasn't far off with my day 21 statement
I'm expecting eggs from my aru pair, as I screwed up the eggs last year I build a completely new incubator that is set up and running
I hope I get to hatch them this year, I like those feeding trials .... 1hr spend nothing ate, aaahhhhh good times Jurgen.

Glad to hear that she finally laid some eggs for you! Did you go artificial? How many eggs did she lay?
