Hi Dan,

I use my cyclist's stand for holding everything from large branches to small coat hangers. I turn the clamping jaws sideways and grip the end of the coat hanger that way.

I use a pair of white bounce umbrellas with Halogen lights that I bought from Ritz Camera's web site. Look under "attache case light kit" or something like that. This portable system is great. I made it even better by adding two clip on incandescent light fixtures that I got at Walmart. I use 100 watt GE Reveal bulbs in these, and clip them to the stand of each umbrella light, positioned in such a way to eliminate most of the shadows on the underside of the subject.
