CG, what are you looking for? Prosumer / Pro or point and click?
Donna, that is funny... I just have this association: Buy a 20d, and prepare to spend the rest of your life justifying "just one more lens.. that's all i need. And this macro ring light... and..." Donna, is that what you have? |

if you get a micro (macro) lens for that D50, snag the nikon 60mm f/2.8 micro. You can go with a cheaper, non-nikon lens, but I just LOVE the sharpness of that lens. The only time I take it off my D70 is when I absolutely must use a wider angle (i.e., use my kit lens).

I am looking into buying the Nikon D50. I love how easy it is to use,not to mention the picture quality that this camera produces. I am wondering however if because it has a higher mega pixal rating will the pictures be huge when loaded into my computer and if they are will resizeing them distort the pics? Sorry if these are dumb questions but would rather know before I buy a camera. Thanks for any help.

Hi:
Quote: Bearing in mind that photography is highly subjective, I'd say the lens is mostly responsible for the outstanding picture quality, not the camera. You might want to consider a high quality macro lens if you want the best image quality. Quote: Not a dumb question at all. The pictures will be huge but I believe Microsoft Windows XP comes with a basic photo editing software that will let you resize and/or crop your images. Resizing them will not distort them, if done correctly, but you will lose some image quality, though it probably won't be noticable. You could also use something like Photoshop which has the ability to resize images with very little loss of image quality, in my opinion. Good luck, Stu |

Canon 40D!! Just got it and i love it. i have been using the canon 100mm macro lens and it gives great IQ. I stuck with canon because i think the it is
relatively easy to get used to gives great pictures. Highly recomended
