Posts: 38 (02/27/07 00:10:51) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Tags : None Hi everybody, So I have an 8 month chondro that has been doing fine but i noticed that he spends almost all of his time in the back towards the heater. I tried raising the temp and see how he reacts but even with it maintaining 89 to 91 degrees he still stays back there. The rack hes in is in an area i walk by a lot and i was wondering if that could have anything to do with it. Let me know what you think. Thank you,

Only time this changes for my snakes is when they are in shed or digesting food. I would make sure you have enough cover in your cage to make the snake feel secure. My snakes usually choose the cooler end of the cage on the highest perch. As long are your horizontal temp gradient inside the cage is within an acceptable range I wouldn't worry about it too much and I wouldn't stress him/her out by changing the temps to try and get him/her to move. Half of the time my babies are in the back of the cage right up against the heat. I wouldn't worry about it. It just takes a little time to learn his "normal" behavior is so you'll know when something isn't right. Good luck! I look forward to seeing some changing pics.
