after asking what i did about how much $$ ppl would or have spent on a chondro.......plus reading Gregs new book..................and then reading about the albino chondro on damons site..............what do you folks think the most pricey chondro would be.if they were produced.........................albino........................or piebald?.........wouldnt a piebald be awesome?........white and green?............totally!!!!

Hmm a piebald would be nice although personally i can never see it happening in captivity with chondros.
Im sure all the piebald royal pythons now in captivity are the result of a wild caught piebald specimin being imported for the pet trade some time ago for vast amounts of money. The strict export laws on wild chondros mean that if a naturally occuring piebald were to be found it may never get out of the country. I know here in the UK it is illegal to own a wild caught chondro. The odds of hatching a piebald out of a normal clutch of captive bred chondros is probably about 50,000,000 to 1!! |

well the first albino balls were imported but the first albino chondro is cb, so I think it's very possible,
I do think they will be worth the same as albino's at first but drop in price faster cuz there's more fun in breeding albino to blue, melanistic etc. etc. offcourse you can do the same with piebalds but I think people will keep more interested in albinos, now a leucystic chondro, that's what I want to see, lol Jurgen. and as a finishing touch, god created the Dutch

I have a few images someone sent me of a pied chondro, but it's a wild caught. The actual pied area might be 5% white replacing the green area with the typical pied look. The snake is a Merauke type with white stripe as well, so it gives it an interesting look. I bet the first guy that caught it was given about three bucks to give it up. The second guy ?, the third? It may not even be alive any longer. I should look that one up and see how it's doing.
