Karubaga, Bokondini and Kelila are right there by Wamena. The image below was once presented by Herpafauna years ago when the micro localities were being marketed and popularized. The red and yellow hatchlings were from a wild caught gravid female represented as Karubaga.

I purchased this animal as Karubaga, a young red 80 gram import. I suspect it was wild caught. It lived about two years to go through color change and then died after regurging a meal.
![]() This is the same snake when around 100 grams in size and starting to loose red and having baby pattern fade while blue develops in its place. ![]() WWJD

Here is an animal I purchased as Karubaga(there by Wamena) years ago. This would represent a yellow hatchling color change of the type. The animal lived about two years and died after throwing up meals for several months.

This animal was represented as captive bred Bokondini(right next to Wamena). The seller declined to give detail of the breeder. Upon acquisition of the young animal it was treated with Panacur, Flagil and Droncit for several cycles. I've had the snake for years and it's proven to be a very solid and healthy animal.
Here is the history of color change that I have for the snake. ![]() About how the snake looks today under full spectrum fluorescent light. WWJD
