Hi there! So I just bought my first chondro yesterday and this is one of my first stops in my new journey into snake keeping. I have a couple of corn snakes, a
Brazilian rainbow, and a ball python, but I wanted something more challenging. I have been doing some research, and have barely been able to tear myself away
from The More Complete Chondro for the past twenty four hours. I know enough to know that having a chondro will be a lot more of a challenge than the snakes
that I have been used to keeping and I will need some help and advice. I have been looking forward to being a part of this forum ever since I knew I wanted a
green tree python, I only hope I haven't come too late!
Anyway, my GTP is a Sorong type male that is reportedly about 5 or 6 years old, and seems to have a pretty good temperament and tolerates handling (at least at the show I bought him from) Unfortunately, the guy I bought him from had only had GTPs for a few years and bought them from his friend and couldn't tell me what the name of the breeder was that he got him from. I know, I know, I should be buying from a reputable breeder, but I was weak. But he seems to be in good health (from what I can tell) and I figured it will be easier to take care of an older animal. Here are some pics of my new chondro and his temporary enclosure. I will probably be getting an enclosure from pvc cages as soon as I can to house him.

I know the pics aren't that great, I will take some more in the next few weeks.
I was sorry to read that this forum will be closing down. Does anyone know of another good forum to join that also provides support for chondro keepers?
I'm sure I will be asking questions and reading archived information a lot in the next few months. I look forward to any advice I can get!
