Pics of you set up would help.
You may want to switch from the ceramic heat admitted out for a 25 watt red bulb.
This will heat more air and make a milder hot spot for your critter. if 25 Watts isn't enough try a 50 watt.
I would also not suggest a the spot type bulbs just use the normal incandescent style.
For what it is worth I don't let my babies get cooler than 82 and keep the hot spot between 87 to 89.
On average I find that babies perch in the 84 to 86 degree range consistently.
Using the hot spot while opaque or after eating a meal.
