i see alot of chondro that are called pastels... what does it mean, i can't pick out what makes them pastels. i mean in other snakes it usually means a
clean animal with minimal speckling, but these chondros are speckled to heck.
What is a pastel?

then.... speckled to heck is pastel :) I've been wondering that same thing too... can someone give a definition list for all types of morphs...

I'm no expert on morphs, but I can't remember ever seeing a chondro listed as "pastel". I have seen some chondros described as having pastel
green as a base color... Could you link some references?
On the other hand, I've seen a female named Pastella. There are/were a few of her 07 clutch (bred with Socrates) for sale on the MVF classifieds.

I use the term Pastel to describe pale colored animals, usually with yellow in the base color, that really aren't high yellow, high blue, or other
definable color morphs. The first pastel chondro I saw was Trooper Walsh's female Powder, an animal that was a very pretty combination of pale blue, green,
and yellow before she went hormonal blue. For those who are fortunate enough to have a copy of the June 1997 issue of Reptile & Amphibian magazine (now
long out of print), you can see a photo of the pastel Powder on the OS ad on page 25. I wrote an article on breeding eastern indigo snakes for the same issue.
Pastel is more of a description than for a specific genetic morph, but I think it is a good name for certain animals.

John Holland has one that he produced... Brandon Osborne had one but it has passed away...
Last time I talked to Damon he said he might have a female offspring from his male that may be paradox...
