EzBoard has an Edit feature that is available to all users for their own posts. The Edit feature is also available to the moderation team for all posts made on the ChondroWeb Forums.
The CWeb moderation team never edits any post to alter the substance or wording of the text! The rare exception to this policy is the occasional removal of profanity or vulgar language from an otherwise acceptable post. Banners are not permitted in posts, and these are removed as well.
The majority of edited posts are to repair broken image links. The moderation team will attempt to repair broken links, and will remove them if need be. Our moderators leave a brief note of explanation when performing any edit function.
Please Note: EzBoard automatically places an "edited by..." tag in any post that has been opened in the Edit Function window, even if no change is made to the post.
If you have been told that the moderators edit posts for content and to censor differing opinions, you have been given bad information, and our policy has been misrepresented to you! We are always willing to explain why any moderation action has been taken, and these are always made according to the Terms of Use which all our members have agreed to abide by.
