Posts: 26 (02/20/07 16:12:57) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Tags : None -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi everyone, I have a serious matter at hands and hope you can help.I have a 3 year old GTP.It is supposed to be a Biak outcross of some kind.She is in bad shape.I noticed her making sounds like she had a RI a few weeks ago.She would only do this when agitated.I checked her for an RI and could not see any signs.I go in there today and she is totally deformed.Her head is blown up to the size of an egg and parts of her body are lumpy.It is hard to see her eyes as well.She is still making that raspy sound.My camera is out of batterys and I will try to get some pics later.For now I at least want to post the problem in words.Unfortunately there are no reptile vets around my area so I will have to totally relie on sources for her problem. Thanks everyone.

She definitely needs a vet. Try Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians You can search by state.. Almost looks like subcutaneous air. If you push on her body, does it feel like bubbles????? In humans, it feels like rice crispies just under the skin. Good luck with her..Keep us posted. Also: On page 716 of the Mader book there is another photo, and this caption: Cellulitis is a deep diffuse suppurative infection in areas of low oxygen tension that can have a similar presentation to large abcesses but does not have the solid core center. In the photo they are attempting to aspirate the core contents in a burm with "cephalic cellutis" ( the swollen head in the burm looks like what is going on with your Chondro.
