Well I have been tossing around a few ideas in my head and trying to prioritize them myself. I'm reading GM's book from cover to cover and did about 8 months of Chondro research prior to acquiring my first. Well needless to say I've acquired two different neonates from different bloodlines and I'm waiting for Greg's Pygar X Sheila clutch to hatch before I get my third (I don't know how but I got the first slot on his list....).
My goal is to breed in the future but my delemna is caging and Chondro size. I really don't feel comfortable breeding yet...heck it took 8 months to actually buy my first. I've had a lot of herp experience but nothing compares to these beautiful gems. I sold everything to focus on them.
I really like the PVC cages but I'm a little worried of getting a cage size I don't need yet. Don't want to go with a rack because my collection is so small. I'm using BARRS 12 X 12 X 16 cages at the moment and I love them but I really like how Jim sells his cages fully equipped. I'd also like to switch to heat panels but my cages now are too small so I use over head heat lamps.
I kinda feel like I'm not making any sense so I apologize if I'm confusing you but I'm just looking for a little direction. I don't want to add to the collection if I'm not prepared to house and thats the bridge I'm trying to cross. I need to get more caging but don't know if I should stick with BARRS and move up once they are all adults (which would be expensive because they're all the same age), or should I try to get two that are a little older which would require larger caging.
Would love a little feedback. I'm having a hard time getting my point into words....
