OK...repost: Here's a picture of a Manokwari male I just acquired as FB from a farm in Indonesia. 4 year old male. It has an uninterrupted blue stripe down its back and a yellow belly (not visible on photo), blue saddles across the spine and white speckles. To me the Manokwaris and the Sorongs are almost indistinguishable. I'm not sure I see the difference. I notice on the map that the two regencies are adjacent, and I'm guessing the snakes themselves don't recognize the borders and party with each other from time to time.
Here is my Manokwari female from Rico, one year old, who looks like many of the snakes on the Sorong type gallery:   Scott

That,s what it is a sorong.
Manokwari,s has a lot of white spots,sorong almost not. OC |
