        <![CDATA[ I was wondering, chondros from this area (Kofiau) are sometimes known as Canaries because of their color. But not all chondros from that area are yellow, are they? I think I've seen an ad for a Kofiau that was green for sale and that really threw me off. And Canaries don't always produce all yellow babies do they? 			<description><![CDATA[ If I were going to purchase a hatchling from this local I would request a photo of the parents, a current photo of the parents, have the breeder take the picture of the snake with a reference such as news week or time magazine beside the snake showing how current the picture is.  I beleive that if both parents have retained their yellow color and have produced hatchlings your chances of having higher yellow animals is greater.  The genetics are still not understood so this is all just... ]]></description>

In talking with lots of folks I think it is fair to say that a minority of these animals  stay yellow into adulthood and the mechanisms are not understood (nor will they be for many years). 			<description><![CDATA[ There seems to be a little confusion about this locale.<br>I currently have 1.1 kafiau and both are currently yellow and about 18months old. One of them started to turn green when i got him, at which point i realised he had an RI after he was fixed he turned yellow again. I have also seen full grown adults that were green with a blue dorsal stripe. I believe they all start off as yellow and some turn green some stay yellow, some turn back and all of them vary from time to time with shedding... ]]></description>
