Delta does indeed guarantee to keep critters as instructed on the airbill - and so yes that "sign" is mostly a warning to the personell (looking at you Atlanta) that this box if mishandled will cause trouble later.

I recently read about your shipping technique on your web site and thought it was a good idea. I'd sure be willing to give it a try. I work in education, however, and on a daily basis I see people NOT pay attention to words and directions right in front of their face. I always label my boxes with temperature and content information and they still didn't get it right once. We use electronic data loggers and the signs on the outsdie of the box that say "this shipment is being electronically monitored for proper temperatures, keep between 70-80".

Most of what I like about the little gizmos is that the blinking green light = go ahead and sign with confidence for the customer.
