I've gotten paid by Delta but I do admit I am a corporation that has a lawyer (not ever needed but still) - generally the trouble tends to often come from the sig on the AWB. If the recieving customer signs for the animal they agree everything is fine. If they refuse to sign the cargo folks won't give them the box. If they write the words DAMAGE above the sig that has an impact...not that anyone at the cargo counter is likely to honestly explain that. :-)

This is our canned message to...

The problem is that I don't know anyone who's actually gotten money from Delta for DOAs. The blame is put back on the shipper for incorrect packaging. Have you ever received money from your Delta DOAs? The recorder can give you temperature proof but can't prove you packaged it correctly. Short of photos, how do you prove you packaged correctly? How does Delta know better than us how to package our animals for shipment?

Kim Burge
<a...

Ross,

I recently read about your shipping technique on your web site and thought it was a good idea. I'd sure be willing to give it a try. I work in education, however, and on a daily basis I see people NOT pay attention to words and directions right in front of their face. I always label my boxes with temperature and content information and they still didn't get it right once. Maybe the threat of being monitored will work better. <img...
