Kim,
They look great to me. My most recent Merauke clutch included 2 "booted"eggs. I did not mark them but I did lose only 1 egg during incubation. Worst
case scenario she was right on 1, wrong on the other. But there is the possibility she was wrong on both and the bad egg came from within her coils. I think
the second posibilty is more likely as the bad egg had a poorly calcified spot the I did not initially notice. And pics from the egg box post-oviposition show
2 decent...

Hi Paul,

Actually, I was thinking along those same lines and because Matilda was so mild mannered (NOT like her) she let me reach right in and take those three loose
ones out first. They are marked 1-3 and while I hope they will make it, I do have my doubts since they weren't included in her coils. I'll just have
to wait and see. I'm amazed to think that she might someone know!

Kim,
What a great site. Eggs look great.
If it's not too late. Mark the 3 she kicked out seperately to see if she "knew" something not outwardly visible.

Again, awesome job, good luck with incubation.

13 good ones laid. Yeah! She was a pain in the you-know-what to get off the eggs. She wasn't the least bit aggressive and just hid her head. After I
got the three loose eggs out I just ended up lifting her and the eggs out of the bucket. She finally loosened her coils and Christian unraveled her while I
tried to hold onto the eggs. They are a bit bumpy looking but all of them have good vein development. :)
