Hey,
Usually egg's laid, set them selves up in the correct position, however, this does not always hold true (some egg's can move while others are being laid) and candling should be performed to assure that such is the case and any egg's then can be corrected and oriented in what is called the polarized position and marked accordingly.
-Angel
Chondros are next to godliness!!

Just a quick question as I want to breed chondros sometime. Someone mentioned marking the ''fertilized'' spot... is that the way or position that they are laid with one face up? Or do I have to ''find'' the fertilized spot. I read that the fertilized spot is usually the face up side when they are laid... Information will be helpful. Wish I could make the C-Fest! Anyhow, have a few of my own egg's cooking as we speak, and they should be ready to hatch out around August 7th. Exciting times. Alright good to be back and acknowledged. Thanks Janet!
-Angel <!--EZCODE...

I would think they should be just fine. Mine dropped more than a 1/2 a degree on a regular basis from opening the cooler lid to freshen the air and change out the egg box tops. As long as the temps came back up in a timely fashion the only thing that might happen is you have added a little more time to your incubation. Even with the temp drops during my incubation, all my babies emerged within days 49 to 52. Good luck!

Kim
