I've owned boas and other snakes over the years, and am quite interested in getting into chondros.I searched for this topic but didn't find anything.Would you guys recommend AGAINST buying chondros at a reptile show? 			<description><![CDATA[ Jeffrey,<br>The vendor you probably saw those chondros at were Lee Watson's.Jason is the younger guy that works his table.I know personally that they are farmed imports.<br>As far as farmed goes.I have a couple in my possesion that are farmed and they are doing excellent.Never had an issue with feeding or internal parasites.<br>On the other hand,it is risky with farmed animals.<br>You can really get yourself in over your head than you need to.Sometimes it is the only way to go with obtaining... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Cant speak for the US market but my own personal view on &quot;Farmed&quot; animals is they are no better than wild caught.<br><br>You are relying on someone thousands of miles away informing everyone that the stock which they are selling is farm bred.<br><br>There is NO WAY you can verify that.<br><br>Corruption amonst officials is common (in far east anyway) so a CITES permit is no guarantee.<br><br>Stick to a true captive bred animal from someone who has been recommended to... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Farmed means that there is a Chondro Farm in Indo, where it's basically a huge breeding facility.<br><br>If you can get parent info, then that leans more toward a true captive bred.<br><br>Having a number of imports and captive bred, I'd strongly recommend spending the extra 100 or 150 and get something from a private breeder, or set aside some extra monies for vet bills. I've been going through lots of vet visits and recouperating animals with the imports.Either way, you're going to spend... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ For that price they were definitely farmed animals. If I were you, I would spend a little extra cash on CBB animals. You can look through the classifieds here, or contact one of the breeders from this site. Usually even the big breeders produce a few clutches every year that are affordable. ]]></description>
