Hello all! I am new to this forum so I thought I would try it out. I am expecting my first clutch of GTP eggs in about a week or so and I am trying to get the conditions right in the cage. I have read "The Complete Chondro" and it says to have high relative humidity. What are we talking for high humidity?? I have it at about 60% right now. Is this ok or do I need to try to get it higher? Thank you and I look forward to being a part of the chondro community.

Brad

Greetings again to all my ChondroFriends... Long time no chat.

So my breeding this year consisted of being incredibly late and lazy, I put them all together in February and separated in .. oh, maybe May. I didn't keep records, I didn't really cycle, I've honestly been so busy with my company that I didn't have time to do anything the right way, I just figured I'd throw the dice.

So about three weeks ago, my Timika chondro (sold to me as timika, looks like boko, don't really...

Hi everyone. I am getting set for my first breeding season, so I am in the process of building my own incubator. I am having a little trouble finding an outlet for heating devices for incubators. Could you offer a brand, site, or explain what you feel is the best way to heat an incubator. Thanks in advance for your help.

Ray

Okay, after seeing the scary prices out there on the market for incubators, I would really like it if someone would lead me in the right direction to incubate chondro eggs. Has anyone out there built an incubator for less than $250 and DID NOT have to worry about splicing and dicing wires or rigging up some impossible electrical set up?? Every website I have been to had featured either $800+ incubators or directions on how to make an incubator that required some type of carpentry or...

Just out of curiosity, breeders, what is the ratio you have had of momma chondros incubating their eggs vs. using an artificial incubator. Also, say the female lays her eggs in the nesting box when you are at work and decides not to incubate them. Will the eggs be okay until you get home to put them in the incubator??
